The aspirations of Kalavedi International Inc. endorse universal harmony as well as conventional arts and cultures. We are irrespective of political or religious barriers. Additionally, this organization would first and foremost be addressed by the provisions of food, education, medical amenities and clothing for impoverished children.

We strive to promote harmony as well as to broaden the various activities to cover the needs of disadvantaged children. It is all our cooperative efforts which will certainly help us to serve the community in future more efficiently. If we want these children to be successful and included as adults, we need to make sure they’re successful and included as children.

MITRANIKETHAN SCHOOL, TRIVANDRUM - RENOVATION OF GIRLS HOSTEL/DORMITORY

 

History

2021 : Nov 6th Donated 500 lbs of nonperishable food by its members to Island Harvest, long Island, NY.

2021 : Feb-27th Donated t $1000 to an individual (handicap) in Kerala for a custom designed Auto Riksha.

2020 : Dec-21st Annual Food drive- 556 lbs of foods was donated by its members to Island Harvest, long Island, NY.

2019 : Jan-14th  Annual Winter Coat drive- 49 Coats delivered to New York Cares in Manhattan, NY.

2018 : Food drive for deserving homeless people of New York. 1015 lb non-perishable food was donated by Kalavedi member families

2016-17 : library building project - Mitranikethan School, Aruvikara, Trivandrum

2016 : Food Drive for needy people in New York. 380 lb food donated to City Harvest

2016 : Winter Coat drive - 110 winter coats were collected thru a drive and dry cleaned and donated to NYCares. 

2014-15 : Financial Aid to Support Destitute Children – MITRANIKETHAN, TVM

2013-14 : Financial Aid for Specially-Able Children – YMCA , Thiruvalla- MeeraSahib, Easow Mathew (coordinators)

2012-13 : Financial support  for eye surgery for needy elderly people - Muvattupuzha, Kerala. Fr Saaju K. Mathai (coordinator)

2011-12 : Idukki, Kallar, Pattom Colony Govt. Higher Secondary School, Idukki -Schools supplies for needy students. Easow Mathew (coordinator)

2008-10 : Idukki, Kallar, Pattom Colony Govt. Higher Secondary School, Idukki- Job training program for parents (mothers) of destitute  students. Seminar, Books distribution for students etc..  Easow Mathew (coordinator)

2007 : Idukki, Kallar Govt. Higher Secondary School, Initiated Savings Accounts for about 200 needystudents. A certain amount of money was deposited in to each account for all students. Fr. Saaju K. Mathai (coordinator)

2007-08 : Idukki, Kallar Govt. Higher Secondary School - Social awareness seminars were conducted to avert children from alcoholism, child labor etc. Fr. Saaju K.Mathai (coordinator)

2006 : Idukki, Kallar, Pattom Colony Govt. Higher Secondary School,- 'Art for Life' a project was initiated. Financial support was provided for eye surgeries of 3 blind siblings. Fr. Saaju K.Mathai (coordinator)
